Ruben Steingrüber
Ruben was born in Aalen in 1986 and grew up mainly on the Swabian Alb and decided to complete his A level with the core subject of music at the evangelical school center Michelbach / Bilz. This was followed by a voluntary year of social service in the Sonnenhof Schwäbisch Hall (school and residental home for handicapped people). At the same time, he applied successfully at the filmacting school of Berlin and began studying there in 2007. During this apprenticeship he worked as a trainee in the fields of production design, directing and production. After the film acting school he worked as a property manager, location scout, location manager in a range of TV and cinema films in Berlin and Baden-Württemberg. In 2012 Ruben studied production at the Filmacademy Baden-Württemberg with the focus on creative producing. His diploma film DIE TOCHTER (Dark Blue Girl) by Mascha Schilinski, celebrated its world premiere at the Berlinale 2017 in the category "Perspektive Deutsches Kino". In spring 2018 the film was released in german cinemas. Ruben joined Dreamtool in June 2018.
