He is a surgical genius with a prickly personality, until a serious accident costs him his hand and his career. An unexpected phone call takes Dr Moritz Neiss, known as Nice, to the German-Danish border, where his daughter lives – a daughter whose existence he has been completely unaware of for the past 16 years. S1E2 – Old Wounds
Dr Moritz Neiss rubs people up the wrong way in the village with his egocentric manner, but knows how to impress with his medical skills. To everyone’s delight, he is considering taking over the vacant country doctor’s practice. Even before the opening, Neiss gets his first patient. Desna Shan, head chef at the hotel where he is staying, is suffering from kidney stones. Neiss immediately refers her to the hospital in Flensburg. But Desna’s behaviour irritates him.
