S2E1 – Sweet Lies
Dr Nice can finally open his practice officially, but only on one condition: he must simultaneously complete an internship at the hospital under his nemesis, Prof. Schmidtke. Meanwhile, the ongoing feud with receptionist and co-parent Charlie simmers on. She doesn’t want him to interfere in Lea’s upbringing, yet ends up needing his help after all. Fortunately, a difficult case offers a distraction. Andrea Wellenbrink is busy with wedding preparations with her fiancé Marcus when she is struck by mysterious symptoms of paralysis. At the hospital, however, Dr Schmidtke fails to find the cause of the paralysis, which brings Neiss into the picture.

S2E2 – Lose Feathers
Dr Neiss and Charlie administer first aid when a man collapses outside the surgery. At the hospital, it turns out that the patient is Dr Schmidtke’s father-in-law. Schmidtke pulls out all the stops to help his father-in-law and make a good impression. When nothing works, his wife Jana contacts Dr Neiss. Ironically, the two had an affair during their studies – or so Schmidtke believes. Which doesn’t exactly ease the tension. Meanwhile, a new form of physiotherapy briefly gives Nice hope that his injured hand might yet be healed.

S2E3 – Broken Hearts
A terrible accident occurs during a father-daughter fishing trip involving Neiss and Lea. Mimi, the trip leader, is seriously injured in the face by a misdirected fishing hook. Neiss administers first aid and accompanies Mimi to Förde Hospital, where she needs urgent surgery. As the world’s leading reconstructive surgeon, he offers his services – a move that is initially met with vehement opposition from his rival, Dr Schmidtke.

S2E4 – Heartflutter
Taxi driver Horst Niebel suffers from exhaustion syndrome and keeps falling asleep. Nice sends him to a sleep clinic – and ends up in hospital himself after a cycling accident on his first day at work. With a head injury and a broken elbow, he reluctantly stays there.
Journalist Nikki Steiner tracks him down thanks to a video; experts speculate about his surgical comeback, which, according to Schmidtke, seems possible. But Nice loses his inner balance, alienates those around him and becomes obsessed with Niebel’s deteriorating condition. Eventually, he agrees to an operation – which goes quite differently to plan.
