S5E1 – The happiness of earth
Ella, who has Asperger’s syndrome, and her friend Christina are left reeling from the breakdown of their relationships. A fresh start is on the cards for both women. Whilst Ella is still coming to terms with her split from Jannis and tentatively testing the waters with her kung fu instructor, Christina tries to keep her relationship with Nils, the father of her son, a secret. The affair soon reaches its limits.
S5E2 – Free Float
This time, the Kollkamp law firm takes on the case of a jealous husband, hotelier Teetz. He destroyed nude paintings of his wife Inge in front of a gathered crowd and is now being sued by the artist. Ella and Kollkamp find themselves caught up in the Teetzes’ war of the roses, as the couple give each other no quarter whilst, in truth, desperately fighting for their love.
S5E3 – Side Jumps
Of all people, Ella’s arch-enemy Ulla has been kicked out of her home and is standing at Ella’s door with her bags packed. She urgently needs a lawyer. It’s all about a fateful speed camera photo. Ella takes on the case and, as time goes on, gradually uncovers the true nature of Ulla’s dilemma. In the meantime, Ella is cramming for her bar exam, which she now finally wants to tackle in order to take the next step in her life. She makes a far-reaching decision.
